Sustainable Growth and a Global Vision to Face the Future Challenges of the Textile Sector<\/h4>

The general assembly of the Corertex Consortium, specializing in textile reuse and recycling, has approved the annual financial statements, highlighting a significant increase in membership. With the addition of new members, including Dife Spa, the consortium now represents about thirty companies across Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, and northern Italy, employing approximately 320 people and generating a turnover of over 80 million euros.<\/p>

During the assembly, President Raffaello De Salvo and Vice President Fabio Marseo presented the achievements, such as accreditation with the Ministry of the Environment and inclusion in the ENEA portal among best practices. They also highlighted progress in dialogues with institutions and trade associations regarding EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility), End of Waste, and the future textile recycling hub, which has already begun construction.<\/p>

Furthermore, the dialogue with various mayoral candidates and the signing of the commitment document to protect the reuse and recycling supply chain were emphasized as crucial steps for the sector\u2019s future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A Unique Ateco Code for the Sector: A Fundamental Need<\/h4>

Among the upcoming challenges, the Consortium aims to obtain a unique Ateco code for the textile reuse and recycling sector. Fabio Marseo explained: \u201cA unified Ateco code would allow for consistent administrative recognition, facilitating participation in state tenders and further promoting our activities.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cThese initiatives mark the beginning of a new era for the reuse sector,\u201d Marseo continued, \u201cwhich has managed to team up with the recycling sector. Now, more than ever, we need courage and a unified vision for the future to become key players in drafting new rules that will significantly change the textile supply chain.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Future Goals and Growth Prospects<\/h4>

President De Salvo concluded the assembly by looking at future challenges and goals. \u201cOur goal is to continue growing the consortium both in terms of numbers and presence in the territory and at the national level. We also want to continue the dialogue with institutions, especially after the European elections, which will lead to crucial decisions on EPR. The new rules must be fair for all countries and sectors.\u201d<\/p>
