Corertex turns discarded jerseys into art: social installation in Viareggio celebrates the Giro d\u2019Italia<\/h4>

On the occasion of the Giro d\u2019Italia passing through Viareggio, the Corertex Consortium collaborated on the creation of an ecosocial art installation, transforming 160 discarded jerseys into a work of art that combines sustainability, inclusion, and sport. \ufffc<\/p>

The installation, named \u201cForStart,\u201d was conceived by ecosocial artist Luca Gnizio and promoted by the Municipality of Viareggio with the support of MoVer spa. The artwork represents a double pink wave, symbolizing the connection between the city and its characteristic natural elements: wind, light, and waves. The jerseys, provided by Corertex, were painted pink by volunteers and local associations, including Agape, l\u2019Albero Ohana, l\u2019Educante aps, Associazione Italiana Persone Down Sezione Versilia, Fiore di Loto, Crea, and Tiamo. \ufffc \ufffc<\/p>

\u201cThe arrival of the Giro d\u2019Italia in Viareggio is a special moment that celebrates cycling and its values of commitment, determination, and passion,\u201d said Sports Councillor Rodolfo Salemi. \u201cThis year, thanks to Luca Gnizio\u2019s work, this celebration is enriched with an even deeper message: that of sustainability and inclusion.\u201d \ufffc<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The installation was inaugurated in Piazza Mazzini and represents the women\u2019s Giro trophy, in an ideal dialogue with the men\u2019s trophy created by the Cinquini brothers and realized with the contribution of iCare. The structure includes a main parallelepiped measuring 9 meters by 4, 5 meters high, a 3-meter-high celebratory chair, 7 bicycle racks, and the 160 recycled jerseys. \ufffc<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
