Corertex Consortium Guest on TV Prato
November 8, 2022Mitigating energy costs for companies, eliminating the double VAT mockery to be paid in the reuse sector, revising circular economy regulations while considering the technical opinions of companies and consortiums, and emphasizing the central role of reuse and recycling companies in developing the future textile hub
these are the requests advanced by Corertex, the Consortium for Textile Reuse and Recycling, to both center-right and center-left candidates met during the electoral campaign for the political elections scheduled for September 25. These were a series of constructive meetings characterized by dialogue, where politicians listened to the needs of companies in both sectors.
Corertex initiated a campaign of dialogue with politicians running for Parliament, aiming to establish a direct connection between Prato and Rome. In the upcoming legislature, crucial regulations for the district will be drafted.

“Corertex Calls Rome”
“We have had several meetings with many political forces in the territory, and we communicated our concern about the high bills to all of them,” explains the president of Corertex, Raffaello De Salvo. “It’s an urgent issue that needs to be resolved as soon as possible since, besides the actual criticalities, it generates dangerous uncertainty, resulting in the paralysis of any investment.”
“The next legislature will need to draft fundamental rules for the future of the circular textile economy,” concludes De Salvo. “We offer our expertise and experience to legislators, aware that we are among the few, if not the only ones, who have an understanding of the matter ”.
