January 5, 2023Ecomondo: The Corertex Consortium Takes Part in the Initiative on Urban Textile Waste Recycling
Corertex, the consortium for textile reuse and recycling, also participated in Ecomondo, the fair for ecological transition and a reference event in Europe for new models of circular and regenerative economies. President Raffaello De Salvo and Vice President Fabio Marseo took part in the activities organized within the pavilion dedicated to textiles, recycling, reuse, and waste regeneration. In particular, Corertex participated in the conference on “Separate Collection of Urban Textile Waste.” The objective of the consortium’s participation in Ecomondo was to understand the future outlook for current collectors of used clothing in anticipation of new regulations on the separate collection of textile fractions.

“Our presence at Ecomondo”
The task of Corertex is to monitor the current dynamics and future prospects of the textile reuse and recycling sector,” explained De Salvo and Marseo. “Therefore, our presence at Ecomondo was important. We return from these meetings with the awareness of offering, as a consortium, something that is currently not available in any other district in Italy. This confirms the uniqueness and strength of our consortium.
After concluding the Ecomondo event, Corertex’s activities in the coming weeks will continue on two fronts: expanding the consortium to include all ethical members of the district and engaging in dialogue with public administrations, starting with the one in Prato.
